Death Certificate

It is mandetory to report any death to the concerned Registrar within 7 days . Now a days, death at hospitals will automatically be reported to the local authorities and the Death Certificate will be issued by the Janaseva Kendram kiosks at the hospitals itself. They will provide only the priliminary original copy.But it will be necessary to have more certified copies of the same for other purposes including the inheritance of wealth and property,changing of ownership of properties etc. For Succession certificate and all legal formalities, certified copies of Death Certificates are essential. This can be had from the Local self Government by submitting proper application and remitting the fees. In City Corporations, there are Janaseva Kendras where the procedure can be done without confusion. Applications can be had by paying Rs.2.oo (INR).Courf Fee stamp of the desired amount should be pasted in the Application form.
